This beach also known as Keri Beach or Kerim Beach,
it is the northern-most beach of Goa and located close to Tiracol fort. The
secluded beach attracts fewer visitors, and therefore fewer vendors, than most
Goa beaches.
The beach comprises a long stretch of sand with a
few rocky outcrops, rows of trees and a river inlet. Arrive at sunrise to take
photos of the shore on the almost deserted beach. Walk along the 2 kilometres
of peaceful shoreline and take a seat under the pine trees to catch your breath
in the shade.
After a refreshing splash in the rolling waves, find
a tranquil setting for sunbathing.
One can also enjoy a lot of water sports at the
Querim beach and even go paragliding. The beach however is not safe for
swimming and one should avoid swimming near the mouth of the Tiracol estuary.
The Keri beach can be reached from Arambol and there
are a few shacks and restaurants that serve local fresh seafood here. Also
there are a few thatched huts for accommodation.
Querim Beach line in the northwest of the Goa, just
north of Arambol Beach. Querim beach is 1.7 kilometres from the Maharashtra
Border. To reach Querim Beach, A faster way to get there is to take a bus or
taxi from central Goa. You can take your time, stopping to see the Sai Baba
Temple and Ravalnath Temple along the way.
Best
time to Visit: Visit between October and June to avoid
the rainy season.
